Dear Yuletide Writer

First off, thank you so much! I'm really looking forward to whatever you choose to write! I am very much a flexible person and enjoy a variety of fics so I do want to reassure you that whatever prompts I give you can 10000% be treated like jumping off points rather than things you have to adhere to. If you have an idea you think I'd enjoy, even if it's not related to my prompts, feel free to go for it.

But so you have a jumping off point, here we go:

In general, I love fics that feel like the kinds of conversations one would have at 3am at a sleepover - a little bit wistful, a little too intimate, a little too honest and a little bit distant. I love character studies and exploration. While I love shipping fics, I'm also always down for a good gen fic.

But now on to more specific details for fandoms and such...

Hades

Honestly, I am down for any content featuring Zag, Than and/or Meg. You absolutely do not have to include all three, any combination of them is cool by me. (This includes any ships, if you feel like writing ship content; Than/Zag/Meg, Than/Zag, Meg/Zag, and Than/Meg are all good ships that I'm here for.) But, for some prompts...

1. I'd love a character study of any of them, but particularly Than and/or Meg and their time growing up in the underworld.

2. A Zag/Meg/Than modern AU where they navigate being poly and their everyday lives. Would especially love to see some bonding between Than and Meg.

3. Any form of role swap AU between the three. For example - Meg is the one trying to break out of hell, Zag is Death and Than is a fury.

4. Any exploration of one (or all) of the three and their respective families would be excellent. (Just tread lightly with sympathetic portrayals of Hades - I'm cool with 'deeply flawed Dad Hades who, despite his major fuck ups, does care about his son.' I'm not a fan of 'Hades did nothing wrong.')

(Also, if you want to use other characters in the background, you are totally free to do so.)

Revolutionary Girl Utena

This is one of those where I picked 4 characters, but am honestly down for content featuring any of them. You do not have to include all of Anthy, Utena, Nanami and Juri. But you are also welcome to do a fic featuring all of them. (You're also welcome to use any other Utena characters in the background.) But, for some optional prompts...

1. I'd love to see something a few years after Anthy and Utena reunited and them figuring out how to be independent adults, navigating their relationship, and possibly going to therapy. Really anything that is Anthy, Utena and Adulthood (tm).

2. I'd love to see Nanami 'graduating' from Ohtori... This can be literal or metaphorical or, as often is the case in Utena, ambiguous. I mostly want to see Nanami breaking free and growing up.

3. After Utena and Anthy leave, Nanami realizes she's gay. She talks to Juri about this. You are free to make this a Nanami/Juri fic, but it can totally be gen as well. Really, the funny prompt title is: "Nanami vs Juri vs the Closet" and you can take that in whatever direction you want to go.

The Broken Earth Series

For this fandom, I'm really into post-canon, rebuilding the world content. Though, I'd also be down for pre and/or during canon character studies. Background characters are totally welcome here! Also, you do not have to include Tonkee, Ykka and Nassun all together. Using only some/one of them is totally okay. (Also, while Nassun having crushes or even getting into relationships with OC kids her age is cool by me, please don't write anything romantic/sexual between her and adults.) But for some prompts...

1. Something about Tonkee and Nassun getting back to Castrima and Tonkee feeling (surprisingly? unexpectedly?) parental towards Nassun while Nassun is, understandably wary.

2. Nassun and Ykka talk about orogeny and Nassun comes to terms with no longer (safely) being able to do Orogeny. Possibly Tonkee comes in and (accidentally?) cheers Nassun up with SCIENCE.

3. Any form of Tonkee character study. She is my favorite character and I'd love anything focused on her. Heck, if you want to go for an AU here, go for it. Just let her invent and/or discover cool things.

Sarazanmai

I adore all three of Tooi, Enta and Kazuki, though I am down for fic that focuses on only one of them or a combination of two of them as long as it's clear they're all very important to each other. But for specific prompts...

1. Anything that explores post-canon (post-Tooi getting out of prison), and them all figuring out how to be adults. Bonus for a focus on Tooi integrating back into society and double bonus for an exploration of the effects being in the carceral system had on him.

2. This is a (quasi-)exception to my 'no love triangles' DNW. I'd really like a thing that's something along the lines of 'Tooi and Enta both have crushes on Kazuki, but as he's very much straight they get involved with each other instead.' This can be as messy as you want it to be, the only things I don't want is like... an ending where they're no longer friends with Kazuki and, if you set this while they're still teenagers, any explicit sexual content. A happy ending would be great, but what 'happy' means here doesn't necessarily have to be Tooi and Enta are in love/together at the end. (Though they could be, if you'd like them to be.)

3. An exploration of what Kazuki and Enta did while Tooi was in prison, possibly with some letter writing.

The Queen's Thief

So here is one of those "I said Eugenides, Irene, Kamet and Costis, but you do not have to include all of them," cases. Also, you are welcome to include others in the background if you want to! But... for prompts:

1. I would love to see more of the slow burn, building intimacy that happened between Gen and Irene, that Costis wasn't privy to. Could be anything from 'what happened between The Queen of Attolia and The King of Attolia' to 'scenes from The King of Attolia from Gen/Irenes POV' to 'missing scenes.' Or anything else that's about Gen, Irene and learning to trust.

2. Kamet teases Costis about having big (fairly harmless) crushes on his King and Queen, possibly with the bonus of 'Kamet reveling in the fact that he can openly tease Costis and not worry about the consequences.' Can be gen or Kamet/Costis, depending on how you're feeling.

3. A holiday party (either AU or canon) where Irene and Kamet end up chatting/bonding. Or really, any odd friendship story between the two of them. Background Irene/Gen and/or Costis/Kamet are welcome!

Also, as a side note here - my DNW say 'unequal power dynamics' and I feel I should clarify since with both Irene/Gen and Kamet/Costis, the power dynamics are potentially messy. The way they're handled in canon is generally fine by me and as long as all romantic and/or sexual content happens with everyone able to meaningfully consent (as in, no one feels like they can't say no), I'm good. If you're setting this an AU, please make any couples within in the same age group (as in... 'they're all teenagers' or 'they're all adults.') Also, I'd prefer that in any AU setting, slavery is not a thing the characters have to deal with.
